COVID-19 Policy and Procedure

COVID-19 Policy and Procedure

Like many of you, we here at Walnut Village Pet Hospital (WVPH) continue to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19.

Our focus is and will remain on the health and safety of our employees, clients, and the community.

Although restrictions in many areas have been lifted, we will continue to employ strategies to help decrease the risk of transmission.

By minimizing the risk of employee illness, we will be able to remain open during regular business hours to care for your pets.

We have internal policies and procedures in place to minimize the spread of germs which include an increased routine cleaning of the facility.

We require our employees to practice good hand hygiene and to stay home if they are ill.

We require masks to be worn by all employees while in the facility.

Currently, we wish to limit the number of people in the facility at any one time.

We ask you to limit the number of people accompanying your pet when possible. Whether you are arriving for a scheduled appointment, or are a “walk-in”, please remain in your vehicle and call to let us know that you have arrived.

We will let you know as soon as an exam room is available.

We offer drop-off exams for existing clients.

We accept walk-ins but strongly encourage you to call ahead to help reduce wait times.

We offer curbside service for approved medication refills.

Just call in your refill and let us know you’d like curbside pickup, and we can arrange to take payment over the phone or with our mobile payment system.

As mentioned, WVPH staff will continue to mask until further notice.

You are encouraged, but not required, to do the same. If you would like a mask, let our staff know and we will be glad to provide one.

If you or anyone in your household has been exposed to COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (such as fever, cough, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms) we ask that you do not visit WVPH.

If you have an appointment, or your pet has an urgent need to be seen, please call us so that together we can find the best way to meet your needs.

Thank you for your patience as we work together during these trying times.
