A picture is worth a thousand words, but our clients’ words are priceless. Discover what our pet owners have to say about their experiences with Walnut Village Pet Hospital.

It was a very pleasent visit. They were able to get me in the same day I needed my baby Bell seen. Very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, gentle and sweet people work in this office. I can’t thank Dr. Diana Lee and her nurses enough. One of the best veterinarians I had the pleasure to take my fur baby to in a long time. My senior is very scared of vet visits, so they sang and hummed to her to calm her down while they took her vitals. That meant so much to me and my fur baby. So thoughtful. They are also reasonably priced. So glad I found them!

I have been extremely happy bringing my dog to walnut village pet hospital.
Cynthia at the front desk is so kind and efficient. She makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. The vet staff take great care and handles my pet with care and concern.
DR. Lee is also wonderful to work with.
I feel that my questions are answered and my dog is in good hands and extra services are not pushed.

Heaven sent. Prior to conimg here and after having my regular veterinarian flake out on me. Had my litter of 4 female malinois there for all 4 visits. They haven’t returned my calls and have a sign that reads no walk-ins on their doors. Prestige Animal Hospital in South Fontana no longer had my business. I was referred to Walnut Village Pet Hospital and they took me in the very next day as I had called within 30 minutes of closing. The next day my appointment went well, had my exam and lab work for spaying, umbilical hernia removal and microchip. A week after my initial consultation my 8 month old girl had the best care. Follow up was much appreciated and I was kept on the loop at all times. Absolutely wonderful vet and staff. Can’t say enough about the great quality care we received.

The most caring vet staff in the area! Dr. Lee truly cares. Her staff truly cares. Dr. Lee is SO knowledgeable and always consults, when needed, just to make sure she has been thorough in her care, if needed. I don’t know what else to say other than I always feel welcomed, heard, and I have brought her some difficult situations with one of my dogs and she is just amazing. She sees you and your animal family member holistically and not just as a means to provide another service, or medication, to charge more. Her recommendations are based on consult with you and what outcomes may, or may not be, as well as what consequences may, or may not be, for treatments. The care is well rounded and trustworthy. Highly recommended!!!

Such a wonderful pet hospital! The staff are so kind, considerate, patient, and educating, and the vet is clearly in love with animals and promoting their well-being. I never have trouble getting an appointment, even same day, whereas our previous vet was also booked out at least two weeks (that is clearly indication of a great vet, but it’s still so wonderful to be seen same day). Affordable but thorough care. Highly recommend!

Do my dogs need year-round heart worm prevention?

Yes, it’s essential for dogs to have year-round heartworm prevention. Heartworm disease, transmitted by mosquitoes, poses a serious health risk to dogs in many regions, including Fontana. Many heartworm preventatives also offer protection against other parasites, providing an added layer of defense for your dog. Continuous protection ensures there are no gaps in prevention, safeguarding your pet from this dangerous and potentially fatal disease. We recommend discussing the best heartworm prevention options for your dog with our veterinary team.

Do indoor cats require heart worm medication?

Yes, indoor cats should also be protected with heartworm medication. While indoor cats are generally at a lower risk than outdoor cats, they aren’t completely immune. Heartworm disease is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito, and mosquitoes can easily find their way indoors. Unlike in dogs, there’s no effective treatment for heartworm disease in cats, making prevention even more crucial. Additionally, the symptoms in cats can be very subtle until the disease has significantly progressed. For these reasons, it’s best to safeguard your feline friend with a heartworm preventative, regardless of their indoor status. Always consult with your veterinarian to find the best heartworm prevention plan tailored for your cat.

Is year-round flea and tick prevention crucial?

Absolutely, year-round flea and tick prevention is crucial for the well-being of your pet. Fleas and ticks aren’t just a nuisance; they can transmit a variety of harmful diseases.

Fleas can lead to skin infections, allergic reactions, and transmit tapeworms. Moreover, in severe infestations, especially in younger or smaller pets, fleas can cause anemia, which can be life-threatening.

Ticks, on the other hand, can transmit several diseases, the most well-known being Lyme disease. Other diseases transmitted by ticks include anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. All of these diseases can have serious health implications for your pet, leading to symptoms ranging from fever and fatigue to more severe complications like kidney damage.

By maintaining year-round prevention, you ensure there are no gaps in protection, keeping your pet safe from these pests and the diseases they carry.
